Role Overview

The Procurement Expediting Engineer is responsible for ensuring timely procurement and delivery of project-related components by closely monitoring vendor schedules and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expediting plans aligned with project or order delivery deadlines.
• Conduct field visits to pinpoint critical areas requiring expediting efforts.
• Analyze vendor production scheduling to confirm alignment with project objectives.
• Verify ongoing manufacturing meets agreed specifications for respective orders.
• Detect potential delay triggers that might affect delivery timelines.
• Initiate and facilitate swift corrective actions to prevent further postponements.
• Ensure on-time delivery and maintain quality standards.
• Complete reporting in the prescribed format promptly on the same day as the site visit.
• Oversee supplier performance and conduct monthly performance ratings.

Additional Information

The position involves a combination of fieldwork and work-from-home duties. Items expected to be expedited include fabricated and machined items, valves, gearboxes, and various other spares or components.
