Procurement Coordinator

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Procurement and General Services Coordinator to manage and enhance our supply chain and administrative operations. This position demands a solid background in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering coupled with in-depth knowledge of the power, energy, and water industries. The ideal candidate will oversee complex procurement activities while ensuring the efficient maintenance, safety, and operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and implement the yearly procurement plan by applying effective sourcing techniques, managing tendering processes, and facilitating direct purchasing.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor them to confirm alignment with technical requirements regarding quality, quantity, and price.
• Manage vendor and supplier selection, engagement, and contractual compliance to meet procurement demands efficiently.
• Regularly assess and enhance procurement methods and tools by gathering feedback from departments and suppliers to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Supervise upkeep, security, and logistical support for facilities and office supplies, including cleaning and safety services.
• Adhere to departmental policies and standard operating procedures while promoting costs savings, continuous improvements, and timely generation of financial and operational reports.

Qualifications & Skills

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering from a well-recognized university.
• Bring at least 8 years of relevant experience in similar roles within major power energy firms, including a minimum of 3 years in progressively responsible managerial capacities.
• Must have direct experience within the power, energy, or water sectors.
• Exhibit problem-solving capabilities, analytical reasoning, and hands-on operational expertise relevant to the GCC cultural and work environment.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with stakeholders, senior leaders, and external vendors.
• Fluent professional English is required; proficiency in Arabic is considered a significant advantage.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
