About the Company

CXC Upstream is a fully integrated mining group and a major gold producer in the region, with a significant operational presence in Geita, a well-known gold-rich area of Tanzania. The group runs four mining locations, including a key mountain-based gold asset backed by more than five decades of proven reserves.

Its activities cover the full mining value chain. In addition to mining operations, the group operates a dedicated precious metals processing plant, manages its own fleet of specialized mining equipment, and has private aviation support in place to move people, equipment, and resources efficiently across the business.

Group governance, ESG oversight, and operational transparency are aligned with the standards promoted by the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM).

Role Overview

As Procurement Coordinator, you will help source and purchase goods, equipment, and specialist services for CXC Upstream's mining operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support the timely delivery of materials and services that keep mining activities safe, efficient, and running without interruption across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of suppliers for mining equipment, consumables, engineering services, and operational support.
  • Handle supplier files, compliance records, and contract-related documents to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Research the market to find competitive vendors, track price movements, and review alternative sourcing options.
  • Keep procurement systems and supplier records up to date, with accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist with supplier negotiations, purchase order processing, and contract renewal activities.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and finance teams so purchasing activity matches business priorities.
  • Track supplier delivery performance, service standards, and timelines, and raise concerns when needed.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in procurement processes to improve efficiency and value.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination, ideally in mining, construction, heavy industry, or manufacturing.
  • Strong planning and analytical ability, with careful attention to detail.
  • Practical experience managing supplier records, contracts, and procurement platforms.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Comfortable handling several priorities at once in a busy operational setting.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or procurement software is an added advantage.
