About NZ Post and the Role

Our Processing Officers at the Hamilton - Waikato Operations Centre play an essential part by sorting, consolidating, and dispatching parcels and freight, helping our couriers complete delivery efficiently. Work Schedule and Pay
- Hourly pay rate of $26.75 plus a night rate allowance of $3.29 applicable until 6 am.
- Two available shift patterns:
- Position 1: Monday 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, Thursday 10:00 pm to 4:30 am, Friday 10:00 pm to 4:30 am;
- Position 2: Monday 9:00 pm to 5:30 am, Wednesday 10:00 pm to 4:30 am, Friday 10:00 pm to 4:30 am.
- Location: 1 Earthmover Crescent, Hamilton.
What You Will Do
- Sort and consolidate parcels and freight efficiently to prepare them for courier delivery.
- Operate within a busy, physically engaging environment requiring handling of items up to 25 kg.
- Maintain safety for yourself, colleagues, and the facility.
Candidate Requirements
- Availability for designated night shifts as per Position 1 or Position 2 schedules.
- Preferably prior experience working night shifts.
- Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality.
- Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to safety.
- Physical stamina to manage demanding manual tasks including lifting.
- Good attention to detail and a sound understanding of local geography.
