Job Overview

The Production Worker is essential in ensuring raw materials are properly prepared for cooking and that finished products are appropriately cut and packaged for shipment. This role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, participation in technical and soft skills training, and collaboration with the team to meet production goals efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to daily production schedules and targets.
• Ensure products meet specification standards and minimize waste or rework.
• Operate machinery including taping and shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, and compactors as needed.
• Complete all standard operating procedures related to production and inspections.
• Participate in required technical and soft skills training programs.
• Maintain punctuality, communicate with supervisors regarding breaks or departures.
• Accurately fill out production paperwork and attend all mandatory meetings.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and well-organized.
• Promptly report any accidents or deficiencies to supervisors.
• Confirm safety devices are properly installed and functioning.
• Contribute ideas for continual improvements in quality and support activities.
• Comply fully with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, SOPs, and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure correct labeling and disposition of products, following FIFO inventory methodology.
• Assist with raw material handling: adding ingredients per formulations, moving meat using tools, loading racks, monitoring quality, and sanitizing equipment.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (hours subject to change)

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• No prior experience required, though warehouse or assembly line background is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong adherence to company rules and regulatory requirements.
• Capable of following directions from leads and supervisors.
• Effective communication skills with coworkers and leadership.
• Team player mindset with ability to work independently when necessary.
• Outstanding attendance record and dependability.
• Sharp attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.96 to $25.44 per hour, influenced by market factors, internal equity, location, and candidate qualifications. The complete remuneration package includes base pay plus potential annual incentives and awards. Eligible employees may access medical, dental, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plans, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Physical Requirements

This role involves regular standing, walking, use of hands, lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for close vision is required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a manufacturing plant with varied temperature and noise levels. There is exposure to moving equipment and wet or slippery floors. Some travel might be necessary.
