About the Role
Join Open Country Dairy Ltd as a Process Operator at our Waharoa facility in Waikato, New Zealand. This role offers a unique roster of 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off, providing a balanced work schedule with four days off in every cycle. The position involves hands-on manufacturing responsibilities, playing a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient plant operations and high-quality product output.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plant and oversee process activities
- Conduct product sampling and testing to maintain standards
- Manage handling of milk, silo, and cream
- Operate membrane filtration and standardising systems
- Comply with quality assurance and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards
- Troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates should possess prior experience in process or manufacturing process control, demonstrating mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills. Accurate numeracy and a commitment to maintaining safety standards are essential.
Additional Information
The role is based onsite at Waharoa and follows a repeating shift pattern with two day shifts, two night shifts, and then four days off, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
