Process Operator

About the Role

This role at a biodiesel manufacturing facility involves managing plant operations and ensuring efficient and quality production. The operator will be stationed at the VSEZ Duvvada site in Visakhapatnam and will report to the Shift In-charge or Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise equipment and processes in the biodiesel plant conforming to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure continuous, disturbance-free production across shifts.
• Keep track of crucial parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels to maintain process stability.
• Maintain peak efficiency and uphold product quality standards.
• Conduct Bleacher and Deodorizer unit operations safely and efficiently.
• Monitor vacuum systems, steam usage, and operating conditions within these units.
• Administer correct amounts of process chemicals and additives accurately.
• Ensure the processed output meets defined product specifications.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor of Technology in Chemical, Mechanical, or related fields. Alternatively, ITI candidates with relevant process plant experience are also considered.
• Experience ranging from 2 to 5 years in process operations.
• Background in edible oil, biodiesel, oleochemical, or continuous process industries preferred.
• Mandatory or favored experience in Bleacher & Deodorizer operations.
• Awareness of processing equipment like pumps, valves, reactors, and heat exchangers.
• Ability to read and follow process flow diagrams and operational guidelines.
• Basic skills in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
• Good communication and ability to collaborate as part of a team.

Reporting Structure & Location

The Process Operator will report to the Shift In-charge or Production Manager at IDHAN PRIVATE LIMITED, located within VSEZ Duvvada, Visakhapatnam.
