Job description
Position Summary
The Process Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and quality-driven processing of customer products by efficiently utilizing STERIS equipment and resources while adhering to established standards. The role prioritizes delivering excellent customer service by meeting turnaround times, following company procedures, and fostering lasting customer satisfaction and reliability.
Primary Duties
- Receive incoming shipments by unloading trucks, inspecting products, verifying paperwork, and entering details into ODMS.
- Prepare products for treatment per routine instructions or management guidance by loading carriers, preparing treatment documentation, and updating data on planning screens.
- Generate release information by retrieving dosimeters and compiling Process Lot Records for Dosimetry Release.
- Arrange products for shipment by unloading carriers and staging released items in designated storage.
- Perform tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice and STERIS quality standards to enhance value, minimize errors, and reduce turnaround time ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Load trucks for shipments, confirming all necessary paperwork and approvals are in place.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and call-outs to maximize facility utilization and availability; call-out duties may be required up to once monthly.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
- Able to perform in fast-paced, regulated settings with strict deadlines.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Skilled in preparing accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Capable of collaborating with other departments to troubleshoot and support technical or customer issues.
- Strong teamwork skills and professional conduct to support collective efforts.
- Excellent task management and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with common office software, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
