Role Overview

The Privacy Specialist will join Vodafone Group’s Privacy Responsible AI & Data Regulations team, playing a critical role in safeguarding personal data for millions of customers and employees. This position supports the global privacy program through privacy-by-design initiatives, regulatory compliance, operational process management such as privacy impact assessments, incident response, and supplier compliance monitoring. This opportunity suits professionals with initial exposure to data privacy operations, strong organizational skills, and a keen interest in evolving privacy and AI regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate privacy-by-design and assurance activities across global data processing projects
• Manage Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and AI risk evaluations, including workflow administration via OneTrust
• Oversee privacy demand management by triaging, categorizing, and promptly resolving incoming requests
• Address Subject Access Requests (SARs) and comparable data inquiries adhering to policies and deadlines
• Assist with privacy incident management, conducting initial investigations
• Support vendor compliance aligned with data privacy requirements
• Perform reassessments of medium to high-risk personal data processing activities
• Maintain detailed records and carry out quality assurance activities
• Contribute to policy compliance audits and reviews
• Help develop and improve privacy notices, templates, and supportive materials
• Provide additional support for miscellaneous privacy functions within the team

Candidate Profile

• Understanding of international privacy regulations relevant to technology and digital enterprises
• Knowledge of GDPR, the EU AI Act, and related data protection laws
• Familiarity with compliance management processes, tools, and best practices
• Strong organizational capabilities with multitasking and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience with OneTrust and Jira is beneficial
• 1 to 2+ years of experience in operational data privacy roles
• Certification such as CIPP/E or comparable qualification
