About the Role
Join His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) at HMP Highpoint as a Prison Officer, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the public and positively influencing individuals' lives. Job Responsibilities
- Providing protection to the public and contributing to the rehabilitation of offenders.
- Adapting to diverse roles daily, from maintaining peace to offering support and guidance like counseling or teaching.
- Working directly with prisoners in a complex and controlled environment.
- Supporting team efforts to ensure the security of the prison and the wellbeing of both staff and inmates.
Working Conditions
The role requires flexibility, including working various shifts and weekends to ensure continuous coverage and safety at the facility.
