Printing Feeder - Shift D

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Printing Shift Supervisor, the Feeder is tasked with unpacking molded products and aiding in equipment teardowns. A fully trained Feeder is expected to be capable of managing several duties related to feeding in materials to printing machines, though may perform select tasks per shift.

The role demands unpacking items from boxes and loading in-feed elevators or spin bars. The Feeder might simultaneously support multiple machines, such as elevators or spin bars positioned opposite each other, and substitute for colleagues during meal or rest breaks.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload products from containers and load them onto in-feed elevators or spin bars.
• Cover for other feeders during breaks or lunch periods.
• Ensure a continuous supply of boxes and U-boards for press operators.
• Support press operators during machine teardowns.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and surrounding areas.
• Assist with copy changes and mechanical adjustments alongside operators.
• Contribute to post-shift cleanup and maintenance of the press vicinity.
• Alert operators to any irregularities or variations in molded products.
• Carry out any other tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• No formal education or prior experience is strictly necessary.
• Basic proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous manufacturing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• English fluency with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of standing and walking for lengthy periods.
• Potential and willingness to advance to a Printing Operator role.
• Flexibility to work additional hours based on production demands.
