Role Overview
The Print Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of print production projects from conception to completion. This includes planning, budgeting, supplier liaison, quality assurance, and timely delivery. The projects handled can be recurring or campaign-based, requiring exceptional execution, competitive pricing, and coordination among multiple parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert project briefs into detailed production specifications including dimensions, materials, finishes, color references, packaging, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct Request for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate bids, negotiate prices and lead times, and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
- Oversee proofs, samples, production milestones, and final quality control measures including color accuracy where applicable.
- Manage project timelines and critical milestones, identify risks promptly, and resolve issues swiftly.
- Keep all documentation organized, including purchase orders, project folders, approvals, delivery records, and tracking tools.
- Monitor budgets, profit margins, and variances; provide weekly progress reports and post-project evaluations.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to continuously enhance cost-efficiency and quality through benchmarking.
Print Project Scope
Responsibilities include managing flat prints, large format materials when applicable, packaging and labels, premium finishes such as foil, embossing, spot UV, specialty papers, as well as assembly (kitting) and multi-location distribution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Between 5 to 10+ years of experience in print production or print project management, whether in agencies, print houses, retail production, or in-house teams.
- Strong technical understanding of printing technologies, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Demonstrated negotiation abilities and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office suite; comfortable using project management tracking and reporting software.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
- Experience working within the beauty, cosmetics, or luxury sectors in the region is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
