Role Overview

The Principal Software Engineer will take charge of designing, developing, and sustaining Java-based enterprise applications. This role requires active cooperation with a variety of engineering teams working on multiple infrastructure layers. A deep expertise in software craftsmanship combined with a drive for collaborative problem solving will underpin success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design, development, and maintenance of scalable Java applications aligned with product goals.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement sophisticated software features.
• Guide and mentor junior developers and promote team-wide knowledge transfer.
• Perform thorough code reviews and define best practices to ensure superior software quality.
• Diagnose and fix issues in existing applications to maintain high performance and reliability.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously refine and innovate solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 12 years of solid experience in Java development.
• Expertise with Spring Boot framework and building RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in version control using Git and build automation using Maven.
• Extensive knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong grasp of microservices design patterns and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with a passion for technological innovation.
• Fluency in English communication, able to explain complex technical material clearly and effectively.

Preferred Additional Expertise

• Experience with front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
• Understanding of contemporary web development tools and workflows.
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, Event-Driven, Microservices, and Hexagonal architecture patterns.
• Previous exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Skills in DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
