Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Software Engineer to join our team making significant impacts on public transportation. This role involves working on state-of-the-art technologies and solutions, contributing to mission-critical software that enhances public transport efficiency. You will engage with specialists in platform development to design and deploy reliable, scalable software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and reusable software solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Participate in system design and architecture, emphasizing long-term quality, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
• Take deep ownership of the software codebase while raising engineering standards and serving as a reliable technical reference for the development team.
• Engage actively in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, execution, and retrospective reviews.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers through sharing knowledge, conducting code reviews, and offering technical coaching.
• Provide technical escalation support to troubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring system stability and client satisfaction.
• Communicate technical ideas effectively across diverse teams and offer constructive, solution-focused feedback.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 10 years of professional experience in software engineering with a minimum of 3 years in a tech lead or principal engineer position.
• Proficient in C#, .NET framework, and familiar with modern development tools such as Git, Docker, and AI-assisted coding utilities.
• Experienced in designing and integrating RESTful APIs and event-driven system architectures.
• Knowledgeable in working with both relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.

Desirable Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Background or interest in transportation technology or rail ticketing systems.
