Role Mission and Responsibilities

As the Principal Program Manager for PWS Ecosystem & Platforms, you will work closely with the PWS Head of Product & Innovation to lead technical program management across the PWS group. You will centrally coordinate efforts across three business units to align product strategy and accelerate R&D execution globally. Your focus will be on ensuring integration of hardware, software, design, and strategic partnerships, adhering to budget, cost, schedules, security, and sustainability goals.

• Lead cross-business unit innovation governance and drive 3-year innovation roadmap planning cycles, coordinating annual strategic off-site meetings.
• Manage and enhance monthly R&D alignment forums linking Heads of Product and Engineering across hardware and software.
• Oversee the PWS Experience Platforms including AI workflows, security, connectivity, and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate schedules and programs across design, UX, software, hardware, and partner alliances, working closely with relevant department heads and program managers.
• Guide strategic innovation efforts with internal and external partners, including platform and technology suppliers, to co-develop and reduce risks in future product pipelines.
• Take ownership of high-impact, multi-faceted projects that cross traditional functional borders, including managing complex partnerships and launching integrated software/hardware experiences.
• Break down silos between functions by synthesizing various timelines and requirements into a unified, executable plan spanning engineering, marketing, retail readiness, and regional considerations.
• Ensure that all new and existing products integrate seamlessly to provide a smooth and intuitive hardware and software ecosystem.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a seasoned T-shaped technical leader experienced in managing R&D programs that involve complex hardware and software components in both B2C and B2B sectors. This person can communicate proficiently with engineers, designers, business stakeholders, and marketing teams alike. Senior-level influence and the ability to drive alignment with executives is essential. Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading cross-team collaboration in complex projects is vital. A holistic ecosystem perspective on product experience is expected.

• Minimum 10 years of direct experience in R&D program management, technical product management, or engineering leadership within consumer electronics or complex hardware/software environments.
• Proven success delivering hardware and software consumer electronics from development through mass production and launch.
• Advanced communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
