Job description
About Searchable
Searchable is an AI-driven marketing platform created for the evolving landscape of AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. We enable brands to enhance and track their organic presence through SEO, AEO, and GEO by leveraging our fully autonomous platform that identifies opportunities, advises on actions, and automates improvements using AI agents. Growing rapidly, we are at $5M ARR within 10 months, backed by leading angels and venture capitalists, working out of our office near London Bridge.
Role Overview
As Principal Product Manager, you will take full ownership of the core product experience end to end, managing critical user journeys including sign-up, diagnostic processes, AI visibility improvement pathways, and ongoing monitoring features. Collaborating closely with the Head of Product and CEO, you will stay deeply knowledgeable about market trends, competitors, and customer needs to shape the future of Searchable’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and oversee all major product flows and features, ensuring a seamless, intuitive experience for new and existing users.
- Balance strategic vision with hands-on execution by defining clear deliverables, refining UX flows, producing detailed specs, building prototype demos, and removing blockers for a fast-moving AI-native engineering team.
- Bring expert technical insight into AI agent capabilities, deciding when the agent should act autonomously, require user approval, or avoid AI intervention entirely, thus redefining marketing and search with agent-first experiences.
Success Criteria Within Six Months
- Customers quickly grasp their AI search rankings and follow product recommendations to improve them.
- The user experience feels cohesive, encouraging higher conversion rates from free trials to subscriptions and improved customer retention through valuable continuous enhancements.
- All agent modifications are rigorously evaluated pre-release, failures identified early, and actionable improvements are continuously implemented based on customer feedback and chat transcripts.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ownership of a product or feature responsible for generating over $10 million ARR, with demonstrated impact on key business metrics such as conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Extensive experience building and delivering B2B SaaS products that attract and retain customers, preferably with exposure to both product-led and sales-led growth strategies.
- Hands-on experience developing AI agent-driven products, including familiarity with challenges faced, evaluation methodologies, and maintaining high reliability.
- Ability to build interactive prototypes independently to accelerate innovation beyond traditional specification documents, without waiting on design or engineering input.
Personal Attributes
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on user experience, meticulously refining user flows, interaction points, and copy for maximum impact.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity by independently framing unclear problems and driving them toward resolution.
- Proactive ownership and self-motivation, with a reputation for taking initiative and delivering without needing close supervision.
- Technical aptitude to collaborate and challenge engineers regarding AI model trade-offs involving quality, cost, and speed.
Role Clarifications
- This position requires independent initiation rather than waiting for predefined roadmaps, thriving in an AI-native, fast-paced environment.
- It is a hands-on individual contributor role without managerial responsibilities, working closely with product leadership, UX designers, and engineers.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from £125,000 to £150,000 depending on experience.
- Equity ownership in the early-stage company prior to Series A funding.
- 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.
- Enhanced pension scheme with salary sacrifice.
- Access to workplace nursery schemes.
- Monthly reimbursement for fitness and wellbeing expenses.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate personal and family needs.
