Opportunity Overview
Gallagher Security is scaling its software product development and engineering capabilities, focusing on delivering cyber-secure solutions. They seek three Principal Engineers with robust full-stack development expertise to advance customer-facing products and digital platforms. One role demands especially strong front-end web development skills. All three will provide technical leadership across modern software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-stack engineering efforts covering front-end, back-end, integration, quality, and scalable delivery, influencing architecture and technology strategy for customer-facing products.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for teams regarding usability, accessibility, scalability, security, reliability, performance, risk, and maintainability.
- Promote best practices including frameworks, design systems, reusable components, testing strategies, and modern standards.
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX/UI Design, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, Security, and engineering teams to produce scalable, secure, and high-quality software.
- Identify and manage technical risks, challenges, and opportunities, helping teams navigate and prioritize trade-offs.
- Mentor engineers across experience levels, fostering knowledge sharing and a strong engineering culture.
- Develop leadership within teams by coaching technical leaders and encouraging decision-making confidence.
- Shape technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives aligned with current and future needs.
- Advocate for cloud-native development, automation, AI-assisted development, observability, and platform engineering best practices.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the Platform Portfolio’s capabilities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineering leader passionate about tackling complex product challenges and shaping technical direction, with strong full-stack development skills and hands-on credibility. Collaboration with diverse teams including product, design, and architecture is essential. One role particularly requires expertise in modern front-end web development to lead advanced web delivery.
Experience in scalable product development environments is necessary, covering front-end, back-end, integration, cloud technologies, quality assurance, and scalable delivery models. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to user experience, accessibility, performance, testing, and product-led innovation.
