Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the architecture and technical strategy for our AI product suite, including flagship projects like Dime Terminal. This role demands close cooperation with teams across security, product, and engineering disciplines. Candidates should possess hands-on experience developing and safeguarding LLM agent infrastructures and have applied finance expertise. This position intersects AI infrastructure with finance, tackling complex challenges where AI models, potentially untrusted application code, and significant financial assets converge.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable platform enabling users and AI agents to coordinate actions across multiple platforms and applications.
• Create efficient and cost-effective custom large language models tailored for financial applications.
• Lead the security strategy to empower users with AI leverage while safeguarding sensitive credentials such as secret keys.
• Provide ongoing technical leadership by setting long-term system direction and incorporating emerging technologies to advance AI infrastructure and the wider ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in backend and distributed systems engineering, including direct responsibility for system architecture from inception through large-scale production, preferably in a principal or technical lead role.
• Practical expertise in building or managing AI agent infrastructure, including tool orchestration, sandbox execution, and defenses against prompt injection and similar model-level attacks; experience with agent orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.
• Strong background in security and identity systems, with demonstrated ability to design resilient systems that withstand malicious or compromised actors.
• Comprehensive understanding of cryptocurrency technologies, including blockchain, proof of work, proof of stake, and layer 1 and layer 2 protocols.
• Experience developing finance infrastructure where accuracy is critical, such as ledgers, balance enforcement, and idempotent transactions, ideally within regulated or crypto-related sectors.
• Proven capacity to set technical direction and achieve team alignment on ambiguous, high-stakes issues without fully predefined scopes.
