- Ensure designs meet industry standards including AS/NZS and IEC, along with client requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise on selecting primary plant and equipment and on design standards compliance.
- Manage multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Build and mentor the primary design team, enhancing skills and delivery capacity.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, eligible for membership with the Institution of Engineers Australia at the Professional Engineering level.
- Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in primary design, particularly in substations.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- In-depth understanding of rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards for electrical substations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Registration as an RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) is highly regarded but not mandatory.
