Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Associate experienced in CAD Textile Design, with 5 to 15 years in the domain. This role involves leading and managing the Computer-Aided Design process specifically for textiles, guiding a team of CAD specialists and collaborating closely with product development, production, and marketing teams to fulfill design objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work jointly with cross-functional teams to comprehend design needs and create innovative textile solutions.
  • Evaluate and analyze various fabric qualities to ensure design integrity.
  • Utilize CAD tools to develop detailed textile patterns such as checks, stripes, and Dobby designs tailored for Western men's casual wear brands.
  • Maintain strict quality control and adherence to design specifications throughout the creation process.
  • Keep updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices related to CAD design to promote innovation.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Effectively oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve design objectives efficiently.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Proficient in CAD software including Textronics and Texcad, with foundational knowledge of Adobe software.
  • Extensive practical experience in textile CAD design supported by a strong creative and technical portfolio.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing design projects from conception to delivery.
  • Ability to perform under fast-paced, deadline-bound conditions.
  • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure precision in design work.
