Principal Architect

About the Role

TechnologyOne is revolutionizing enterprise software design, delivery, and user experience. As a Principal Architect in our Enterprise Architecture and Governance team based in Brisbane, you will play a pivotal role in turning the CTO's strategic vision into tangible outcomes. This senior position involves working at an enterprise and strategic level to align business priorities with technical objectives, lead architecture initiatives, and guide scalable growth and innovation across our products and teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive strategies, architectures, and designs to enable future product capabilities and features.
• Maintain detailed architectural documentation for the systems TechnologyOne manages, including performing health assessments and reporting findings.
• Define data and integration patterns to facilitate analytics, AI, and integration with external systems and datasets.
• Establish and oversee actionable architecture roadmaps that underpin product planning and delivery schedules.
• Effectively communicate architectural strategies and complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external partners and customers.
• Assess and select suitable technologies aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure that architecture supports desired business and customer outcomes.
• Lead hands-on efforts with proof of concept development, innovation-driven design, and provide mentorship in technical practices.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of TechnologyOne's architecture practices.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive expertise in enterprise software architecture and development, preferably with SaaS environments.
• Strong technical versatility and capacity to address diverse technologies and complex business challenges.
• Excellent conceptual reasoning, commercial insight, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Proven track record in architecting and delivering large-scale enterprise software projects.
• Experience in leading enterprise architecture initiatives with a demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical leadership.
• Well-versed in cloud and hybrid environments such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Competent in working with external service providers and making commercially viable technology decisions.
• Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, able to clarify intricate concepts clearly.
• Deep understanding of non-functional requirements including security, scalability, and system performance.
• Previous TechnologyOne experience and familiarity with one of its core vertical markets is advantageous.
