About the Role
St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational institution serving over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 in Ellenbrook, Western Australia. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in our students’ academic and personal growth while contributing to the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully support and embody the goals and ethos of Catholic education.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Religious Education units and the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Utilize understanding of the WA Curriculum and SCSA Judging Standards to organize, select, and design content aimed at effective teaching and accommodating diverse learning needs.
- Apply a variety of successful teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and improve learning outcomes.
- Employ assessment tools and ongoing monitoring techniques to adapt teaching methods according to students’ needs.
- Exhibit strong classroom management, organizational skills, and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal relations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster student learning, improve teaching practices, and promote a positive learning culture within the school.
- Contribute actively to building and sustaining a supportive Catholic school community in partnership with students, staff, parents, and the Parish.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Required accreditation to teach Religious Education.
- Relevant four-year tertiary teaching qualifications.
- Early Childhood qualifications are considered advantageous if applicable.
