Job description
About the Role
Join Gallagher Animal Management, a leader in AgTech, at a pivotal time as we enhance the pricing and commercial strategies of our global Animal Management division. We create innovative technological solutions trusted by millions worldwide, specializing in smart livestock management and virtual fencing products that promote sustainability and animal welfare.
In this newly established position, you will spearhead the development of pricing functions that have not previously been centralized. Your role will be crucial in synthesizing pricing, retail, market, and competitor information across multiple continents—including New Zealand, Australia, North America, and Europe—to craft insightful recommendations that empower regional teams to optimize pricing, promotions, margins, and seize commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain pricing frameworks, reporting tools, and workflow processes to enhance transparency and uniformity across markets.
- Conduct detailed analyses of pricing structures, promotional activities, profit margins, market directions, and competitor dynamics to uncover growth opportunities.
- Translate multifaceted data and market intelligence into actionable commercial advice for new products, promotional strategies, and comprehensive business planning.
- Collaborate closely with sales, product management, finance, and regional leadership to bolster commercial decision-making capabilities.
- Drive a coordinated and strategic approach to pricing within the Animal Management division.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate blends sharp commercial acumen with analytical rigor and inquisitiveness. You excel at delving into data details while maintaining a strategic perspective on business implications. Comfortable synthesizing diverse data sources, you effectively communicate insights and influence cross-functional stakeholders despite lacking direct reporting lines.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial analysis, pricing strategy, retail analytics, or product-focused roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in model-building and scenario-based analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or comparable data visualization and reporting platforms.
- Strong understanding of commercial performance drivers including pricing, margin, and profitability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, or related fields.
Benefits
- Competitive remuneration package with performance incentives.
- Employment stability within a rapidly expanding global enterprise.
- Opportunities for professional advancement alongside the business's global growth trajectory.
- Access to modern technological tools to support your work.
- A collaborative and solution-focused company culture.
- Contributions to KiwiSaver retirement scheme.
- Membership discounts at Boost App and various New Zealand retailers.
- Life and disability insurance coverage.
- Employee assistance programs promoting wellbeing.
- Convenient on-site parking, subsidized café options, and proximity to quality local dining.
