Role Overview
The Pricing Manager position is an on-site full-time role based in Vadodara. This role centers on formulating, reviewing, and refining pricing strategies for freight forwarding, special cargo, and value-added service segments to maintain competitiveness and profitability. The manager will analyze market dynamics, client demands, and operational costs to compile quotations and pricing structures for current and prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and update pricing frameworks for various cargo and freight services.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and internal cost structures to prepare accurate quotations and rate sheets.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to assess bids and optimize profit margins.
- Maintain meticulous pricing databases and related documentation.
- Monitor pricing performance against established benchmarks and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Generate detailed reports and forecasts to support management decisions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical capabilities focusing on cost analysis, margin calculations, and data-driven pricing decisions.
- Understanding of freight forwarding, cargo logistics, and special cargo handling.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software and pricing tools; experience with logistics or tracking software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills facilitating collaboration across sales, operations, finance, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple pricing requests and adhere to strict deadlines with high attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields; additional professional certifications are beneficial.
- Previous experience in pricing, revenue management, or commercial roles within shipping or logistics sectors is preferred.
- Strong commitment to ethical practices and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
