Pricing Executive - Ocean Import

Position Overview

We are looking for an Executive/Senior Executive specialized in Ocean Import Pricing to join our Pricing department based in Greater Faridabad, Haryana.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pricing inquiries related to ocean imports from both customers and the sales team.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines, overseas agents, and vendors effectively.
• Accurately prepare and deliver freight quotations within stipulated timelines.
• Maintain and update databases containing ocean freight rates and pricing information.
• Collaborate with overseas agents, shipping lines, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth pricing processes.
• Analyze the market to keep pricing competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Support the sales team by providing pricing assistance for new business prospects.
• Follow up on quotations to aid in converting inquiries into actual business.
• Ensure all rates and quotations are properly documented and records maintained.
• Keep track of rate validity periods, surcharges, free days, and any additional applicable charges.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 2 years experience in Ocean Import Pricing or Freight Forwarding roles.
• Sound understanding of Ocean Freight, Import Pricing procedures, Shipping Lines, and Freight Forwarding operations.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and professional email communication.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively while managing several pricing requests.
• Good coordination skills to interact with customers, agents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Preference given to candidates from freight forwarding or logistics backgrounds.
