Job description
Overview
This role is key to ensuring the accuracy of our scanning file, which underpins front-end transaction correctness and customer service excellence. The Pricing Assistant Manager upholds a fast, courteous, and efficient customer experience across the store while coordinating directly with the Scanning Department and providing technical support as directed by Help Desk protocols.
Responsibilities
- Adhere rigorously to company 5S standards for efficiency to deliver fast and friendly customer service.
- Keep the workstation clean, tidy and organized at all times, in line with 5S requirements.
- Master store systems including Gateway, scales, and scanning technologies.
- Assist customers by promptly addressing their inquiries.
- Ensure all store signage and shelf tags reflect accurate pricing and clear visibility.
- Validate the weekly price updates across every department for correctness.
- Maintain communication with store departments and the Scanning Department about price changes or discrepancies.
- Enforce the Discontinued program by removing items from Grocery and General Merchandise shelves following corporate guidelines.
- Conduct weekly section scanning to ensure scanning accuracy and quickly address pricing or scanning errors.
- Report pricing or scanning discrepancies to the Scanning Department immediately.
- Support Department Managers in detecting shrink and margin shortfalls.
- Provide temporary backup support for Front End operations as needed.
- Monitor voice and email messages thrice daily and act on instructions accordingly.
- Order and install shelf tags daily and weekly.
- Train backup PAC team members on job responsibilities.
- Maintain and update front end flip charts regularly.
- Check A-9 and A-1 pricing accuracy daily and weekly.
- Update store markdown files daily.
- Investigate file errors according to corporate policies each day.
- Generate and display item listings and movement reports upon Store Manager request.
- For Lead Ad Scan stores, perform weekly ad scan procedures.
- Organize all relevant documentation and paperwork consistent with corporate standards.
- Maintain consistent communication channels with the Scanning Department.
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- Basic literacy and computer skills required.
- Holding satisfactory performance evaluations.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of related experience is preferred.

Compensation
The pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $25.50 per hour.
