About the Role
TheHiveCareers is inviting applications for a seasoned and commercially savvy President to spearhead an extensive Construction and Real Estate enterprise based in Kingston, Jamaica. This executive will oversee various facets including construction, property development, investment, business growth, project execution, financial health, and organizational expansion.
The President's primary duty involves converting the Board's strategic directives into tangible outcomes, spearheading revenue growth, widening the development project portfolio, and ensuring operational excellence across all divisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead company operations and implement strategic plans aligned with the Board's vision.
- Set and enforce KPIs for leadership accountability, reporting performance and strategic forecasts to the Board.
- Manage full P&L responsibilities including revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, budget oversight, and capital expenditures.
- Supervise construction projects ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, procurement, and risk management compliance.
- Direct real estate development activities, oversee land acquisition, project feasibility, financing, approvals, sales, leasing, and asset management.
- Expand business through cultivating partnerships, client relationships, contract negotiations, and identifying new market opportunities.
- Evaluate investments, acquisitions, capital allocation, and maintain risk alignment with expected returns.
- Ensure robust governance, risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Lead and develop a high-caliber executive team fostering accountability, innovation, safety, and operational prowess.
- Represent the organization to government bodies, investors, regulators, clients, and industry stakeholders, maintaining strategic relationships.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- Minimum of 15 years in senior leadership roles within construction, real estate development, infrastructure, or related fields.
- Prior executive roles such as President, CEO, MD, COO, or equivalent with proven P&L and large organization management.
- Strong background in managing construction operations and real estate development pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue, profit, operational improvements and manage multi-disciplinary teams and partners.
- Experienced in board relations, investor and government dealings, and strategic negotiations.
- Preferred experience includes managing diverse construction and real estate groups, joint ventures, PPPs, acquisitions, and international exposure.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Preference given to candidates with an MBA or relevant advanced degree. Professional certifications advantageous.
