Job Overview
Footprints Childcare in Bengaluru is seeking a dedicated preschool teacher to foster a nurturing and safe learning environment for children. The role involves engaging in curriculum implementation, managing daily preschool activities, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver an enriching educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a secure and supportive atmosphere conducive to children's learning and growth.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with children and their parents.
- Provide diverse materials and resources to encourage exploration and imaginative play.
- Attend to the basic needs of children attentively.
- Adhere to administrative policies and enforce classroom rules consistently.
- Implement the curriculum and planned activities effectively.
- Maintain detailed daily observations and plan activities accordingly.
- Contribute to the developmental progress of each child across multiple domains.
- Address parental concerns diplomatically to maintain healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with educators and administrators to evaluate and revise high scope programs.
- Manage and enhance classroom inventory and educational materials.
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit varying individual needs and interests.
- Participate actively in all training sessions provided.
- Oversee day-to-day preschool operations and manage staff adherence to policies.
- Arrange instructional resources required for classroom use.
- Conduct classroom audits and monitor activities regularly.
- Facilitate visits, admission conversions, and manage parent interactions.
- Review child participation and parental involvement during orientation.
- Perform follow-up care calls to children on pause.
- Ensure the learning environment at the center is explorative and comfortable.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding infrastructure concerns.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years' experience as a teacher and academic coordinator in a preschool setting.
- Skilled in managing young children effectively.
- Adept at cultivating positive relationships with parents, children, and coworkers.
- Proactive in identifying personal learning requirements and seeking development opportunities.
- Good mental and physical wellbeing.
- Possess a caring, warm personality with a sense of humor.
- Approachable, flexible, and receptive to feedback.
- Graduate degree holder or ECCE/NTT certified.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a welcoming demeanor.
