Job description
Role Overview
The Prepared Foods Dishwasher is responsible for all dishwashing tasks and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen area. This role requires adherence to store standards, efficient service to both customers and team members, and support of company values and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves within the kitchen space.
- Assist with receiving and properly storing kitchen deliveries, including organizing and rotating products.
- Arrive promptly for scheduled shifts, properly groomed, and ready to work; attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing customer needs effectively and courteously; respond promptly to telephone and paging communications.
- Support sales by following correct prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising practices.
- Follow all health, sanitation, weight and measure, and safety procedures to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in work and shopping areas and ensure equipment meets cleanliness and safety standards.
- Perform assigned opening, mid-day, and closing tasks, verifying accuracy of signs and pricing.
- Report any safety hazards or violations immediately.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Experience Requirements
No previous retail experience is necessary to apply for this position.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Standing and walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
- Frequent hand use involving grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching movements.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures including freezing conditions, refrigeration, and heat above 90°F.
- Work environment includes wet and dry conditions.
- Flexible scheduling required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience using kitchen tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and possibly ladders.

Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an hourly wage range from $15 to $24.40 based on experience. Full-time team members may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits program including store discounts, paid time off, financial and health wellness programs, and other perks. After successful completion of 90 days, eligible new hires may receive a pay increase.
