Job Overview

This role involves handling all dishwasher duties and ensuring the kitchen area is consistently clean and compliant with health and safety standards. A key part of this position is supporting the company's positive public image by providing polite, friendly, and efficient service to customers and coworkers. Compliance with all team and store operating procedures is expected, as well as readiness to perform related duties assigned to other team members. Primary Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen tools thoroughly.
• Keep kitchen floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves clean and orderly.
• Help with the receipt and proper handling, storage, organization, and rotation of kitchen deliveries.
• Be punctual, appropriately groomed, and ready for all shifts, including attending trainings and meetings as required.
• Deliver excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer and team member needs and demonstrating suggestive selling techniques; handle phone and paging duties courteously and promptly.
• Optimize sales by correctly prepping, storing, rotating, and merchandising products.
• Follow all established processes related to weights and measures, health and sanitation, and workplace safety rigorously.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace and shopping areas, ensuring all equipment meets cleanliness and safety benchmarks.
• Carry out assigned opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks, including verifying the accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by leadership at store, regional, or national levels.

No previous retail experience is necessary for this position.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Manual dexterity including grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Movements required include bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Working in varying temperatures: freezing (<32°F), refrigeration (32-40°F), and warm environments (>90°F).
• Ability to operate in both wet and dry conditions.
• Flexible scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
• May occasionally need to use ladders.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this role ranges from $16 to $24.40, dependent on experience. Eligibility for these benefits is determined by hire date, employment type, location, and length of service. Successful completion of the first 90 days could result in a base pay increase.
