Role Overview

This role involves carrying out all dishwashing tasks along with maintaining the overall tidiness and cleanliness within the kitchen area. Employees must exemplify a positive company image by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and colleagues at all times. All responsibilities should align with the team's and store's established Standard Operating Procedures. Participants should also be prepared to undertake duties from other team roles as necessary, while actively supporting the core values and goals of the company, promoting various programs at multiple levels, and strictly adhering to health, safety, and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleanse, rinse, and sanitize kitchenware including dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other small items.
• Keep floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves within the kitchen sanitary and orderly.
• Support kitchen inventory management through the reception, proper storage, organization, and rotation of deliveries.
• Be punctual, appropriately groomed and prepared for shifts; participate in all scheduled training and meetings.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, respond promptly and professionally to customer needs, including handling phone calls and pages.
• Drive sales potential by meticulously prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products adhering to best practices.
• Comply with all regulatory procedures including those related to weights and measures, sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for work and shopping; ensure proper upkeep of equipment per cleanliness and safety standards.
• Complete assigned opening, mid, and closing duties diligently; confirm accuracy of signage and pricing; immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership at store, regional, or national levels.

Experience Requirements

No prior experience in retail is necessary to qualify for this position.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand or walk for approximately 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Use hands for grasping, manipulating, pushing, and pulling.
• Perform physical motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to approved cleaning substances by FDA.
• Work conditions involve varying temperatures including freezing, refrigeration, and warm environments.
• Adeptness to work in both wet and dry settings.
• Flexible availability including overlapping shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience using tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
• May require ladder use.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage between £14.80 and £16.40, commensurate with experience.
