This position involves comprehensive dishwashing duties along with maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness at Whole Foods Market. Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and smaller kitchenware effectively.
• Ensure that floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelving within kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic.
• Assist with receiving kitchen deliveries, properly storing, organizing, and rotating stock to maintain freshness and availability.
• Maintain punctuality, appropriate grooming, professional attire, attend all scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings as required.
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly and courteously to customer needs, including handling phone calls and pages efficiently.
• Optimize sales opportunities by following correct procedures for product preparation, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Uphold compliance with health, sanitation, weight and measurement standards, and safe work environments.
• Keep the work and shopping areas clean and sanitary, including proper upkeep of equipment per company standards.
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks, ensure sign and pricing accuracy, and report safety hazards immediately.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by store or management leadership.

Experience

No prior retail experience is necessary to apply for this position.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or walking for 6 to 8 hours within an 8-hour shift.
• Use of hands involving grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Requirement to bend, twist, squat, and reach during work activities.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents and a range of temperatures including freezing (below 32°F), refrigeration (32-40°F), and warm conditions (above 90°F).
• Capability to work in environments that are wet or dry.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience using tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery; ladder use may also be required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation ranges from $15.00 to $24.40 per hour, adjusted based on experience. Whole Foods Market provides comprehensive employee benefits, including store discounts, paid time off, wellness support programs, and other perks for full and part-time team members. Eligibility is based on role, location, length of service, and employment type. New hires who complete 90 days successfully may qualify for a pay increase.
