About the Role

HSBC's International Wealth and Premier Banking division aims to be the preferred international bank for affluent clients by delivering comprehensive wealth management and banking services. Through Premier Banking and the Global Private Bank, HSBC operates across key global markets, enhanced by strong capabilities in Asset Management and Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a portfolio of approximately 350 primary Premier clients, taking full ownership of portfolio results and income generation.
  • Establish, nurture, and sustain trust-driven relationships with high-value Premier clients to increase wallet share and drive profitable growth through both retention and new client acquisition.
  • Offer expert financial planning and personalized advice by conducting regular reviews to understand client goals and proposing wealth solutions aimed at capital growth and preservation.
  • Ensure exceptional client service by efficiently utilizing available tools and channels, continually monitoring client satisfaction and reinforcing HSBC as the primary banking relationship.
  • Collaborate within HSBC’s network by identifying referral opportunities to Global Banking and Markets and Global Private Banking teams; support and mentor junior Relationship Managers.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with risk controls and regulatory requirements to guarantee fair client outcomes and operational discipline.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in financial services, including proven work as a Relationship Manager.
  • Track record of strong client recommendations and effective sales of wealth products.
  • Previous experience managing high net worth client portfolios typically ranging from USD 120,000 to USD 5 million in investible assets within the Premier segment.
  • In-depth expertise in financial planning and wealth products with the skill to translate client needs into customized solutions.
  • Solid understanding of macroeconomic, microeconomic, and local market factors affecting clients and investment portfolios.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wealth management-related regulatory frameworks and collaboration with Compliance, Credit, Risk, and Internal Control teams to maintain balanced risk environments.
  • Obligation to obtain SCA accreditation within six months of joining by passing two mandatory exams: ICWIM level 3 and UAE Financial Rules & Regulations.
  • A graduate degree is mandatory for UAE visa and work permit processing; foreign degrees must have current attestations and equivalency recognition by UAE authorities.
