Right To Be Free is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit devoted to rescuing and rehabilitating survivors of human trafficking, focusing especially on children. The organization ensures that donations are fully directed towards survivor support, public awareness initiatives, and operational expenses conducted internally. Their mission includes advancing public knowledge about modern slavery through education and advocacy. Team members are integral in delivering vital services that foster safety, care, healing, and growth opportunities for survivors.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position for Pre-School Teachers in Kasoa, Accra. The role involves creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere for young learners while facilitating their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities.
- Follow a structured yet adaptable curriculum emphasizing play-based and experiential learning.
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress.
- Engage in regular communication with children's caregivers to update on progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain consistent, child-centered care.
- Support development of foundational literacy, numeracy, social skills along with fostering respect, empathy, and resilience in children.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Competency in lesson planning and curriculum design tailored for early childhood education.
- Proven knowledge and experience teaching kindergarten-level children.
- Strong communication abilities with children, parents, and peers.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten teaching, or similar field.
- Experience in classroom or childcare environments involving young children.
- Capable of maintaining a secure, organized, and supportive classroom environment that values diversity.
- Exemplifies patience, empathy, and provides supportive care, especially for children who may have faced trauma.
- Basic computer skills for administrative tasks and communication; fluency in English required, with proficiency in local languages regarded as a benefit.
