Pre-Sales Solution Architect - Microsoft

Job Overview

Join Tech Data APAC, a TD SYNNEX company, as a Pre-Sales Solution Architect focusing on Microsoft technologies. This role blends architectural design, evangelism, and coaching by engaging directly with resellers and customers to drive adoption of Modern Work, Security solutions, and Copilot innovations throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical expert for Microsoft opportunities, collaborating closely with Business Development Managers and Microsoft’s partner teams to boost sales across Modern Work, Security, and Copilot initiatives.
• Architect comprehensive solutions utilizing Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Purview, and Microsoft 365 Copilot grounded in Zero Trust frameworks and responsible AI principles.
• Lead envisioning workshops and "Art of the Possible" sessions that translate Copilot and security innovations into tangible business benefits for partners and clients.
• Conduct webinars, enablement trainings, and partner workshops to enhance reseller capabilities and strengthen the ecosystem.
• Maintain a public thought leadership presence by publishing content, speaking at user groups and industry events, and building both Tech Data's and personal brand influence within the ANZ Microsoft community.
• Provide mentorship and development support for partner technical teams and internal Solution Architects on Microsoft certification pathways and pre-sales skills.
• Champion partner programs and funded projects such as Copilot workshops, Threat Protection and Data Security assessments, achieving Solutions Partner designations, and managing funding claims.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five years’ experience in pre-sales or solution architecture roles with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Modern Work, and Security.
• Practical hands-on knowledge of key Microsoft workloads including Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and Purview.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Copilot Security, Azure OpenAI, and applying responsible AI strategies.
• Valid Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, plus one or more from SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, MS-700, MD-102; foundational certifications like MS-900, SC-900, AI-900 and Copilot Applied Skills are advantageous.
• Superior communication and presentation abilities, adept at delivering webinars, workshops, and executive briefings effectively.
• A well-established or emerging personal brand demonstrated through LinkedIn, blogging, industry speaking engagements; Microsoft MVP status is a plus.
• Passion for coaching and developing the skills of partners and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel for field engagements across Australia and New Zealand, with potential for broader travel over time.
