Overview
The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales team by addressing all technical aspects related to account growth, pre-sales project execution, solution architecture, and training initiatives. This position serves as a technical authority, forging strong partnerships with clients and collaborators to advance the business through diverse technical efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with sales, product, and partner teams.
- Serve as the product and solution technical expert for the organization's offerings.
- Work with sales to craft and execute targeted strategies for expanding account penetration and achieving objectives.
- Create focused sales and product service plans for specified accounts.
- Support sales through technical assessment, presenting solution proposals, designing high-level architectures, and conducting demonstrations throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Manage and oversee proof of concept activities, handle request for proposals, and finalize sales opportunities from a pre-sales and deployment perspective.
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with partners and customers to align with sales goals.
- Lead technical sales meetings and discussions.
- Oversee product adoption, integration, and demonstrate value within customer or partner IT environments.
- Complete necessary pre-sales documentation promptly and precisely.
- Create content, provide training, and support for partners and customers.
- Participate in rotational after-hours support and escalate issues when necessary.
- Utilize systems such as salesforce.com CRM for managing leads, opportunities, and deal registration to enhance efficiency and standardize processes.
- Design and present customized infrastructure solutions.
- Conduct demonstrations, proof of concepts, technical workshops, and professional service delivery for solution implementations.
- Provide technical presentations and enablement sessions to partners and clients.
- Advise clients on governance, AI lifecycle management, and cloud-native data strategy.
Qualifications & Skills
- In-depth understanding of backup, replication, disaster recovery, and storage technologies.
- Hands-on expertise with Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE, and other Veeam software products.
- Familiarity with leading virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of cloud-native backup and recovery solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
- Experience working with SAN/NAS storage systems, network configurations, and computing infrastructure.
- Comprehension of data protection methods, retention policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Education & Experience
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of pertinent professional experience in the field.
