Role Summary
The PR Manager will remotely lead the company’s public relations efforts by crafting compelling narratives and fostering strong media relationships. This role involves pitching stories to journalists, managing the news cycle effectively, and safeguarding the company’s reputation during challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement public relations strategies that support the company’s business objectives.
- Proactively pitch and secure stories with targeted media outlets and influential journalists.
- Prepare spokespeople through media training and coordinate interviews.
- Lead crisis communication initiatives and respond quickly to media queries during urgent situations.
- Create and manage press releases, media kits, and carefully time announcements.
- Monitor media coverage, reputation metrics, and analyze share of voice.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 4 years of professional experience in PR, communications, or media relations.
- Established relationships with journalists in relevant industries and beats.
- Proven success in securing impactful media coverage in top-tier publications.
- Strong writing proficiency, including the ability to craft pitches, press releases, and quotes.
- Demonstrated experience managing the entire lifecycle of company announcements.
- Ability to maintain composure and structured problem-solving under media pressure.
