About the Role
An acclaimed live entertainment venue is looking to add a motivated and well-organized PR Executive to its celebrated PR & Marketing team. This newly established position is perfect for someone eager to advance their public relations career in a dynamic and high-profile entertainment setting. Partnering closely with the Senior PR Manager, the chosen candidate will aid in executing targeted, impactful publicity campaigns supporting a busy schedule of shows and events, with a focus on obtaining high-quality media exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior PR Manager in designing and implementing publicity campaigns aligned with the venue's event calendar.
- Conduct research and craft press releases, official statements, feature story pitches, and other public relations materials.
- Develop and nurture connections with regional and trade journalists, while also supporting engagement with national media outlets.
- Generate innovative story ideas aimed at garnering media interest and coverage.
- Organize logistics for press events such as press days, photo sessions, opening nights, and media trips, including coordinating with talent and media representatives.
- Handle media and VIP ticketing requirements for premieres, managing guest lists and ticket distribution.
- Spot digital PR opportunities and collaborate with social media and digital marketing teams to enhance campaign reach.
- Track and document media coverage, preparing reports that evaluate campaign success against publicity objectives.
- Contribute to promotional strategies and event planning tied to productions.
- Update media databases, compile imagery, archive press materials, and maintain other shared PR resources.
- Support creation of PR-related content for websites and social media in partnership with Marketing and Digital departments.
- Deliver general administrative assistance including scheduling, budgeting logistics, and correspondence management.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Between 1 to 3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media sectors.
- Exceptional written English skills with the capability to produce precise, engaging, and well-organized copy.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities to handle various deadlines effectively.
- Interest in cultivating media relationships across broadcast, print, and digital platforms.
- Passion for PR combined with a keen interest in arts, entertainment, or live events.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient in Canva, PowerPoint, and Excel software tools.
- A proactive, teamwork-oriented, and positive mindset.
- Previous work experience within the entertainment industry is a desirable advantage.
