The Marketing and Business Development team at a reputable professional services firm in Birmingham is seeking a dynamic PR Assistant. This role focuses on enhancing the firm's external communications by supporting media relations, content creation, and social media efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the firm's PR strategy and business development campaigns.
- Compose press releases, media briefings, and various communication materials.
- Discover newsworthy opportunities and craft compelling story ideas.
- Establish and nurture relationships with journalists and aid media outreach initiatives.
- Track and analyze media coverage with regular reporting.
- Support updates and content management for the website, social media, and podcast promotion.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams on PR and communication-related projects.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses 2 to 3 years of experience in PR, communications, or related fields.
- Excellent writing and communication abilities paired with creativity.
- Confidence in engaging with stakeholders and media contacts.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
- Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation techniques.
- Experience in professional services or PR certifications is a plus.
