About the Role

Join EY in Auckland as a Power Platform Techno-Functional Consultant, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. This position demands a combination of deep functional understanding and practical technical implementation skills to create scalable, effective business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fit-gap analysis and transform business requirements into detailed functional and technical designs.
• Define business workflows, data architectures, and solution frameworks that adhere to platform best practices.
• Craft user stories, design documentation, and maintain delivery backlogs to guide development efforts.
• Assist in functional validation during build, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing stages.
• Customize and configure solutions utilizing Dataverse, model-driven apps, and canvas apps.
• Create and manage workflows through Power Automate, extending capabilities where necessary using plugins, custom APIs, JavaScript, and Azure services.
• Oversee environment preparations, deployments, and release management tasks.
• Configure and enhance external-facing portals via Power Pages, ensuring compliance with accessibility and usability standards.
• Design and execute data integrations leveraging APIs, connectors, and middleware; support data migration, transformation, and validation.
• Implement robust data modeling, enforce security roles, and maintain governance within Dataverse.
• Engage actively with clients through workshops, discussions, and solution demonstrations, collaborating with architects to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Provide ongoing support throughout delivery and hyper-care phases.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security procedures, and governance policies, assist with testing, defect fixes, and performance tuning.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in designing and delivering business applications on the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Comprehensive understanding of full business processes, especially relating to grants, funding, or public sector environments.
• Deep knowledge of Dataverse data modeling, security practices, and governance.
• Experience with model-driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power Pages, and foundational Power BI reporting integration.
• Technical proficiency with .NET/C# plugins, JavaScript, and Power Platform extensibility features.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Azure integration services, middleware solutions, and DevOps processes including CI/CD and ALM.
• Desirable experience with ERP system integrations like SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics Finance and Operations.
• Exposure to Azure components such as Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.
• Background in consulting or managing projects within large-scale delivery environments.
• Ability to operate concurrently across technical and functional domains effectively.
