About the Role
01Bedrock is seeking a proficient Power BI Developer capable of delivering scalable and production-quality business intelligence solutions—not merely dashboards. This position demands expertise in data modeling, advanced DAX, Power Query, deployment strategies, version control, and PBIP-based development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive Power BI semantic models and reporting dashboards.
- Design optimized star schema architectures, relationships, and data models with an emphasis on high performance.
- Create complex DAX formulas and construct data transformations utilizing Power Query and M language.
- Utilize PBIP and Git/GitHub tools for source-controlled code development and collaborative workflows.
- Establish connections to SQL databases, APIs, and various structured data sources.
- Oversee deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments including refresh cycles and issue resolution.
- Develop reusable frameworks and standards to support scalable Power BI development practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience working with Power BI technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, data modeling, and Power Query/M scripting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for database management and querying.
- Familiarity with PBIP file formats and Git/GitHub version control systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of Power BI Service for report publishing and data refresh operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and the implementation of deployment pipelines including CI/CD processes.
- Working knowledge of Tabular Editor and DAX Studio tools.
- Exposure to cloud data warehouses such as Azure SQL and Google BigQuery.
- Knowledge of working with APIs and JSON data formats.
- Understanding of row-level security implementations, governance policies, and optimization techniques for large datasets.
