Job Overview
The Poultry Technical Sales Lead position, based in Guntur or Vijayawada, is part of Cargill's Animal Nutrition and Health division focused on supporting operations in Andhra Pradesh, India. The primary responsibility involves providing technical expertise to the commercial team to engage clients effectively and drive sales growth by demonstrating how Cargill's solutions can enhance profitability for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with commercial teams to build and maintain strong partnerships with existing and prospective customers.
- Manage and conduct product demonstrations and trials ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Implement Cargill's digital offerings and facilitate farmers’ understanding and benefit realization from these tools.
- Provide nutritional guidance including diet formulation and disease diagnosis during field visits.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key accounts within the assigned territory.
- Gather detailed customer requirements to recommend suitable products and services.
- Support cross-functional teams, including strategic marketing and technology, in developing and validating new products.
- Deliver technical training sessions to commercial staff.
- Engage in customer segmentation, satisfaction assessments, and account planning alongside sales and marketing leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum qualification: M.V.Sc degree specializing in Animal Nutrition.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience.
- Fluency in the local language and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of five years’ experience specifically in poultry nutrition.
- Proficient in feed formulation for broilers and broiler breeders, emphasizing performance optimization and cost efficiency.
- Proven capability to provide technical support for broiler and breeder nutrition, including nutrient optimization and performance monitoring.
- Willingness to travel a minimum of fifteen days per month.
