Position Overview
A prominent global hedge fund is recruiting a Portfolio Manager or FX Trader based in Asia to independently oversee a pan-Asia FX portfolio. The successful individual will be expected to have a systematic and reproducible investment approach and take full accountability for managing a standalone book.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement foreign exchange trading strategies focused on Asian currencies.
- Manage the entire portfolio lifecycle including construction, position sizing, execution, and risk oversight.
- Spot investment opportunities through detailed macroeconomic studies, policy shifts, and current market trends.
- Collaborate effectively with research, trading, and risk management teams to generate steady risk-adjusted profits.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of three years experience in FX trading or portfolio management within hedge funds, asset management firms, or major investment banks.
- Comprehensive understanding of Asian currency markets and associated foreign exchange instruments.
- Proven track record demonstrating full ownership of investment choices and profit and loss outcomes.
- A well-articulated and defined investment methodology and capability to independently administer a portfolio.
- Currently residing in Asia or open to relocating to Hong Kong or Singapore.
