Role Overview

We are looking for a dependable Porter to support the smooth day-to-day running of a healthcare setting. This full-time position is contracted for 38.5 hours per week, with a rotating pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off. The role is focused on maintaining excellent cleanliness standards and delivering strong customer care.

You will join a team that values individuality, encourages progression, and recognises people who contribute above expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the lobby and other shared public spaces clean, orderly, and presentable.
  • Support housekeeping, restaurant, and banqueting teams with room preparation and moving furniture when needed.
  • Carry out selected reception tasks, including arranging theatre bookings or restaurant reservations.
  • Respond to customer needs and requests in a helpful and timely manner.
  • Complete errands as required to support the wider operation.
  • Help protect customer safety by placing and removing warning signs, such as notices for wet floors or freshly painted areas.

What the Ideal Candidate Brings

The right person will be flexible and comfortable adapting to changing priorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships are important, along with proven experience in delivering high-quality customer service. You should be able to use good judgement, stay calm under pressure, work on your own initiative, and be consistently reliable and punctual.
