Job description
Overview
As a Porter, your primary responsibility will be maintaining cleanliness in assigned building areas. This includes tasks like dusting, dust mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, vacuuming carpets, spot cleaning, and emptying waste receptacles and ashtrays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine custodial duties using various cleaning tools including sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and waste disposal.
- Restock single unit dispensers such as soap, towels, toilet paper, and sanitary napkins.
- Conduct regular checks on cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial work is considered advantageous.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Dependable, motivated, enthusiastic, able to work cooperatively as part of a team and willing to assist where needed.
- Proficient in handling cleaning equipment.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks associated with the role.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage for this role ranges from $22 to $25, based on skills, experience, qualifications, and equity considerations. Rewards details will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team.
