Job Summary

The Porter ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house areas at Physicians Mutual, Omaha, NE, including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with variable hours discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly clear, bus, and sanitize tables during peak hours and prepare areas prior to service.
• Maintain clean floors by clearing and sweeping throughout service periods.
• Transport dishes and utensils safely to kitchen areas using trays, bus tubs, or carts while adhering to safety standards.
• Wash dishes, glasses, and pots, clean cooking stations and equipment to support smooth service flow and maintain hygiene.
• Scrape food remnants and rinse dishes, either hand-washing or using dishwashing machinery, ensuring complete sanitation.
• Keep display equipment clean and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
• Assist in receiving heavy deliveries and safely transport items to designated storage areas, following proper lifting guidelines.
• Adhere to HACCP standards for food presentation, portion control, and serving temperature maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures including use of cut-resistant gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves, steamer gloves, and slip-resistant shoes.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar porter or sanitation role is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Earn between $18.00 and $21.00 per hour.
