Polisher - Evening Shift

About the Role

Safran Landing Systems, a global leader specializing in landing and braking systems for aircraft, seeks a Polisher for their Mirabel, Quebec facility. This plant produces key components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 aircraft as well as the Boeing 787, featuring advanced machinery for machining, polishing, heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities

The polisher's main duties include deburring casings — the primary landing gear parts — to round their edges and prevent cracking during high-temperature heat treatments. Additionally, the role requires polishing the parts to meet strict dimensional specifications regarding radii and diameters using manual pneumatic tools. The polisher is also responsible for inspecting the finished components for quality assurance.

Working Conditions and Schedule

This position operates on the evening shift, from Monday to Thursday, 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM. Shift changes to day, night, or weekend shifts may occur depending on collective agreement provisions.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly wage ranges between $27.85 and $37.87, subject to skills, experience, and qualifications; potential increase to $42.04/hour with internal training and skill advancement.
• Additional hourly bonus of $1.30.
• Annual profit-sharing up to $3,500.
