Job Overview

We are looking for a Policy Manager responsible for guiding the company's content classification strategies. This role focuses on diverse content areas including hate speech, crime, violence, and disaster-related material. The ideal candidate should have an interest or background in internet or media regulatory policies and demonstrate strong writing and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and document policy positions to support content classification across various categories.
• Conduct training sessions for labeling teams to ensure thorough understanding and implementation of product policies.
• Communicate policy rationale clearly with internal stakeholders to address client questions and needs.
• Lead research initiatives concerning public opinion and advertiser viewpoints to guide policy development and revisions.
• Manage ongoing evaluation and prioritization of policy improvements incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholder groups.
• Work collaboratively with linguists and data scientists to develop effective classification models.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ professional experience within or working alongside the technology sector.
• Exceptional writing and analytical skills enabling comprehensive policy development.
• Proficiency in analyzing datasets to derive data-supported insights and recommendations.
• Exposure to operational workflows in policy or technology-related environments.
• Good understanding of web and social media content trends.
• Strong enthusiasm for policy development, specifically in content classification and moderation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience in product or content policy roles.
• Knowledge of national and international frameworks addressing harmful online content.
• Familiarity with no-code platforms and artificial intelligence tools in professional contexts.
• Deep understanding of internet policy issues.
• Experience with content moderation or classification systems.
• Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Public Policy, International Relations, or Law.

Compensation & Additional Information

The remuneration for this position will be determined by multiple factors including qualifications, experience, skill set, and internal company equity. The estimated salary range is between $109,000 and $178,000 annually. Additional benefits include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and other standard benefits.
