Platform Engineer

About the Role

This position is with a leading fintech trading company specializing in systematic trading and technology. The firm builds state-of-the-art infrastructure to support high-performance, data-intensive research and trading platforms. Their technology stack includes high performance computing (HPC), AI/ML, GPU computing, and large distributed systems. The company emphasizes strong engineering investment and offers a chance to tackle challenging infrastructure problems in this industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable compute platforms based on Linux.
• Create automation solutions for provisioning, managing configurations, and infrastructure lifecycle processes.
• Develop internal tools and APIs to boost productivity for developers.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions including metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Manage and support large-scale server provisioning and platform operations.
• Work collaboratively with software engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance infrastructure.
• Engage in incident responses, continuous system improvements, and mentoring within the engineering team.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Linux administration, particularly with distributions like RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Experience using Ansible or similar tools for configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of Python; familiarity with Go or Rust is a plus.
• Competent with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Comfortable with Git workflows and have an automation-first approach.
• Additional experience with Kubernetes, Docker, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), virtualization, or hybrid cloud environments is beneficial.

Compensation and Location

The role is based in Singapore, offering a salary of $210,000 plus bonuses and benefits.
