Plasterer

Overview

This role is based on-site at North York, Ontario, Canada, with no options for remote work, requiring experienced plasterers to perform a variety of plastering duties.

Responsibilities

• Apply, level, and smooth various coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
• Prepare and clean surfaces before plaster application to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
• Ensure proper curing of freshly plastered areas to maintain durability and finish quality.
• Finish corners and angles cleanly, and create decorative designs in the finish coat when needed.
• Mix plaster materials accurately to achieve the required consistency.
• Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trims to enhance architectural features.
• Apply acoustic or texture materials using spraying techniques on walls and ceilings.
• Use trowel or spray methods to apply stucco coats on building exteriors, creating weatherproof surfaces.
• Install corner beads and wire mesh around structural beams to prepare for plaster application.
• Conduct work safely at heights, utilizing scaffolding or swing stages as necessary.

Requirements

• Possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Hold 2 to less than 3 years of relevant practical experience in plastering work.
• Proficient in English for effective communication on site.
